But what is the meaning

Right, this is going to end up a bit like the Da Vinci code, looking for symbolic reference, but today’s topic was to write about yesterday topic. Topical isn’t it ?
No car chase through Paris, sorry.

And we’re off..... Right.

Me dreaming I’m in a rare luxury car, it think means that life is easy, luxurious, I’m riding like royalty. The road was flat, I was sitting too far back to see the driver, but I was having a good time and going to college outing to boot.

I then woke up and my housemate was someone like the German guy at Balaclava.
This represents wisdom, maybe I need guidance ?

I then was telling a guy I knew from college the story about traveling and having a good laugh. We were all laughing, laughing about me living the easy life, make’s sense... Hmmm.

Today I woke up having another dream, so I wrote that one down too.

From what I can recall it went like this, I was trying to cross a dangerous part of the road, but it was too dangerous and I wasn’t taking any chances.

A guy in a white van pulled in to give a lift, but I left that lift off to some chicks.

But I got over the road in the end, no worries. :)

Road
It usually symbolizes the journey that we take to achieve our goals. The road in the dream represents a road in your life. It could be the road to your heart, spirit, or mind. Consider the kind of road that your are on and try to see how it relates to your daily realities. If the road is straight, well-marked and lit, it may be reinforcement to you that you are moving in the right directions. If there are many obstacles and the road is very hard, consider your options.

Now the Footy
Went to the footy parade in the city today, will be interesting to see how the photos come out, got one of Kennealy anyway, might be a bit blurred.

Bush is at it again
Torture is now legal in the US, makes no difference, it's always been the Go.

Smells of 1984 me thinks.

I have a dream

I woke up on the 22.09.06 jumped out of bed and wrote about a dream I had. Here is what I wrote.

Riding in a white phantom ghost to a college outing, but it was a dream.

Richie Kennedy (A guy I used to get a lift off of in college) came to collect me and I was house sharing with someone like the German guy at Balaclava and we drove what seemed like Richmond Junction from the MCG. They were laughing as I told the story.

Hmm so I had a dream about dream and a guy that gave me a lift to and from college featured. Driving a white phantom car. On mature recollection the car I was traveling in was a Silver Ghost.

It all seems a bit strange to me, hmm?

Popped into Extreme Karokie in the Laundry last night, i must be getting older because nearly everyone was younger than me. Getting old Kieran, well it had to happen at some stage.

Met Siobhan from the Backpackers at the Queen Vic markets, with baby on the way.

Might pop in for the footy on Saturday, Grand Final. I remember having yet another big fight with Jo last year and having a pub crawl around South Melbourne. I’ll think i’ll do the same this weekend, seeing as though Sydney are in the final again. It was good craic last year.

Dream explanation’s:

Car:
The car in your dream may symbolize the physical self or ego development and ego function. In that, it represents the way that you travel through your life's journey. Consider all of the details in the dream, including its emotional content (e.g. difficulty of the road, identity of the driver, direction of the incline). Recurring car dreams usually deal with life's major themes that may include issues of control and sensibility. By carefully examining this dream, you may gain insight into important areas of life, including to how well you are navigating from one stage of your life to another, if you are assertive and take charge or are passive. Dreaming about travelling in a car is a very, very common dream theme that provides valuable information in regard to a specific part of or long-standing theme in your life's journey.

Laughter:
In dreams, we may feel emotions much as we do in waking life. This is especially true about very funny and very sad events. Dream laughter may often come from a deeper level than waking laughter in that our emotional expressions are often more outward and unrestrained in a dream.
The interesting part is that dream laughter may also be very inappropriate. Since we often dream of ourselves as archetypal caricatures, we may laugh with a diabolical twist; whereas in waking, anger would be the more expected response. This sort of unchecked laughter can usually be an expression of the id (the part of the personality which contains our primitive impulses such as sex, anger, and hunger).
If you experienced laughter in a dream, did others laugh with you?

Older People:
Old people in dreams represent wisdom and maturity. They may appear in our dreams at times of confusion and lack of direction, or when we need consultation and help in decision-making.

Friends:
Any demonstration of true friendship in a dream is a straightforward prediction of happy social times with good companions. Dreaming of distant friends is generally a forerunner of unexpected news, good or sad depending on whether or not they were in trouble in your dream.

I'll try and define the explanation tomorrow and i'll keep yea posted :)

Having a swimming time

Oh hello there:

What’s up today then, went home last night. Had a kebab with believe it or not, too much chili. I know, and it was hot, but good, did I say hot? If your reading this in the ‘Future’ (Queue eerie music) don’t eat a kebab with that much chili again, ok ?

Called into Bar open to see if one of my house mates was there and ended up chatting to Heidi and 2 of her friends, good laugh, that’s what life is supposed to be about, isn’t it ?

Topic of the day I suppose is about topless bather’s found on goggle earth, how bad ?
Read how a guy found an airstrip in the middle of an ocean with Google earth that the English used to use. Handy. Could ring the guy below up and tell him to shave his scrotum, see what i mean? Hmmm maybe not.
This is god from up on high, shave your scrotum ! See what i mean ?

Good link from Youtube

Safe sex animation:
Animation

Got some more CD’s from the library, very handy, amongst them I got one called Tibet and another by Mr Morricone, class act, everything he’s ever done has been genius.

Weather is nice today, but what would you expect from the land of sunshine.

I’ll start putting some photos of my own once I get the lead for the camera sent over.
I could have photo, comment, comment, photo, photo, comment, comment, photo and so on and so forth. Nice, I like it already. Class, if it was done well of course, if it was done crap, well, it would be, crap wouldn’t it ?

Went over to look at the photo exhibition last night, good photos. Then I walked to the library for the Lonely Planet book talk and guess what ? I passed an art gallery exhibition, so in I went and proceeded to talk about the meaning of the Art and drink a few red wines, until I ran out of things to talk about then it was off home with me. Good fun though.

Petrof saves the world – The 1983 incident

Yes on this day (26th of Sep) in 2006 a fellow called Petrof saved the world and stopped the world from being blown up.

Stanislav Petrov was the duty officer September 26, 1983, at a military satellite surveillance site south of Moscow, Russia. It was Petrov's responsibility to observe the satellite early warning network and notify his superiors of any impending nuclear missile attacks from the United States against the Soviet Union. In the event of such an attack, the Soviet Union's strategy was to launch an immediate all-out nuclear counterattack against the United States.

I read his story on the Good Weekend about maybe 3 years ago and he was living in a damp high rise block of flats. Unbelievable.

Started reading ‘Power of the dog’ today. Finished the 3rd chapter and it ended with the Doctor in the wild wild west town hanging himself and his intelligent kid was thinking about the right words to convey this message, gripping read.

Heading over to Federation Square for the photo exhibition, some good ones of the world and French people and their farm animals.

Going to a book talk later, it’s a Lonely Planet talk on weird country’s in the world to travel in, or something along the lines. There was 47 people listed as attending, should be good.

Got a few more pod casts linked to the ITunes, should be interesting and maybe educational also. Time will tell.

Watched ‘What the bleep do we know’ last night, one of the interesting sections that one of the producers talked about was how he ‘Creates’ his day i.e. just after he wake up and are not really concise of who he is and before he remembers his problems from the previous day they think of the things that they would like to happen in the day.
His mental state is being projected out into the world and people respond to it, sounds like ‘Smile and the world smiles back at you’

Maybe it’s bit like seeing the flyer for the book talk tonight and now I’m going, that simple.

The DVD wouldnt play the section covering addictions, maybe the universe is trying to tell me something ?

Time goes fast so slowly

Banksy - The Bear and the Bee, Notting Hill

"Once upon a time there was a bear and a bee who lived in a wood and were the best of friends. All summer long the bee collected nectar from morning to night while the bear lay on his back basking in the long grass.

When Winter came the Bear realised he had nothing to eat and thought to himself 'I hope that busy little Bee will share some of his honey with me'. But the Bee was nowhere to be found - he had died of a stress induced coronary disease".

Time goes fast so slowly, Time goes fast so slowly, Time goes fast so slowly, Time goes fast so slowly, Time goes fast so slowly, Time goes fast so slowly, Time goes fast so slowly, Time goes fast so slowly,

Well well, where do I begin ?
Met Matt (From TRUenergy) and a few others on Friday night, went out watched the footy, drank beer, played pool. Came home and went out with the housemate Jess and her entourage of Kiwis. Got back around 5am, not a bad night.

Went to the dance party in the park on Saturday, met a few people and had a laugh. I think I was talking to people when the best DJ’s were on. Oh well such as life, it wa still good fun.

Had my photo taken, didn’t look too flash I have to say, I remember looking t the photo after it was taken thinking, ‘I don’t look like that do I ?’ And I did.

A bit expensive all the same ticket were $100 each and beer then $7 a pop. But a good location, the city definatly looked well towards the end, the city lights !!!

Met some guys after that and we went to a party in Carlton, good old night. I got some money from them for beers and went out to the bottle shop, to which they weren’t too sure if I would come back, hmmm do a runner with $20, student’s.

Attended Gerard’s opening party last night, good laugh. I did venture out for a bit, and that could only be summarized as being the biggest waste of 20 minutes in my life. I went out down the road, into a pub, took about 10 min to walk to the toilet, huge queue, hmm maybe not, back out and into Gerard’s shop, 20 minutes right there, what a waste.

The same Madonna song was on about 20 times, Time goes fast so slowly, and it did. The day flew.

It didn’t help either that it rained a fair bit, but they managed to attract a few people in the end and a good time was had by all.

Going to start reading a book calld ‘Power of the dog’ today, since there’s not too much happening at work, what else am I supposed to do to the brain ticking over ?
Madonna is teling me that there’s too much confusion, not sure i my response to that one.

Just remembered the pub across from the Queen Vic does, $1 beers on Monday, just when I’m thinking of having a break my mind goes a remembers something like that.

Paint it Black

Hello again, just thought I’d sit down (not that I was standing up or anything) and write a few lines

Was reading about how stories get popular on digg.com, it appears that if a story gets enough

hits in 1 hour, it appears to pass a point of critical mass then it's off on to first page.

With this in mind, I posted a story about a documentary I saw on the net about Torture in

American prisons, all I can say is that braking the law in America could be a very scary

experience after watching this.

http://digg.com/videos_educational/Torture_America_s_Brutal_Prisons_This_movie_is_a_must_see

I've noticed that any story submitted with i.e. 'This is a must see' gets a few hits. I think

I’ll track it to see how far up it goes.
It's a pretty relevant topic what with Bush claiming to not know anything about Torture. Time

will tell.

On of the last companies I worked for are looking for more testers, what a laugh. The job descriptions do not describe anything that the job actual entails. Might do a bit better if it read.

Do you like pulling out your hair ?
Can you run batch files that no one else can run or figure out ?
Do you like working with business people that look at you like your a moron if you don’t understand ?

They talk of corporate responsibility, what ? Ok I like taking the piss out of guys in suits, corporate enough for yea ?

I figured something out

Not the Hungary i remember. Do you think i should go back and lead them into the future ? Naa, me neither. They did fight the Russians for a bit in 1956, probably best not mess with them.

I figured something out.........
Something useful this time, I managed to set up my computer to record off of Pandora.com.
No big deal you might think, but if I set up ‘Nina Simone’ as a radio station at the start of the day, by the end of the day I have 8 hours (Assuming I spend 8 hours a day at work) of music in .mp3 format ready to be copied on to my iriver mp3 player, thats a lot of songs.

So by the time I get around to listening to it, I will have Nina and other artists that sound like her, not a bad days work indeed. It’s even better for DJ’s. Who needs to buy music ? No me :) Laughing as they say.

Stayed in last night to read my book again, not a bad night, it’s never a bad night when you have a good book to occupy your time.
The book I asked the library to buy for me on Monday is already there today Thursday, mental mathematics, mental, how bad ?

The summer time is defiantly here, not that it every went away as far as I’m concerned. The winter here wasn’t even a winter if you ask me, but who’s asking me ?

Might venture out tonight and check out a band somewhere, or just see what’s going on in the town of Fitzroy.
There’s a big dance party on in the city on Saturday, might be worth checking out.

Might have to a bit of shopping on Saturday and get bed sheets and that sort of thing, so an early one on Friday, yeah right he says, he, but it’s worth thinking about anyway. Gawd, how the pace of life has changed, Friday used to be about watching footy and beers in the pub, now it seems like a regular occurrence to wander home sometime after 6am onwards.
That would never happen in the old country, but this is the new world or newer world, or a world or 1 world or a word. Yes it’s defiantly a word, defiantly, defiantly, defiantly.

Read yesterday that the best way to get over writers block is to write a letter that a character in your story would write. Writer’s block hasn’t happened to me yet, I think that’s just because I’m not a writer.

What would the letter contain, when was the last letter I actually wrote ?
I remember having to write letter’s for French class that would be along the lines of ‘I would like to reserve accommodation on the 2nd of February, but only in French (That bit was translate into English, just in case you wouldn’t understand, wouldn’t want to lose the audience) yeah right pal you say, who travels in France in February and why cant you just go somewhere where they speak English ? I don’t really now the answer to that one, can you ask me an easier question ?

But ‘Stupid is as stupid does’ and this writing habit is one thing I would like to continue, I did it before for a bit. As a present to myself when I was a bit mentally down and out, and do you know ? It worked, I remember thinking how great it was, so if your reading this at a later stage in the future Kieran. your Fuc$%d. You are going to die, so you’d better make the most of it. Life does tend to get easier if you have a near death experience. Wakes you up from your ‘Little world’, The world is an amazing place after all, I remember thinking that when I was flying over Afghanistan on my way home to surprise the mother, I was probably flying from all the vodka and cokes as well, but flying all the same.

Hello me, it's me again

And so roll’s on fab Wednesday, hump day as some might day, and I’m doing documentation, in word, or so that might seem. To be later posted online on da old blog if the truth was to be told. Maybe I should stand up and shout out something ‘Hey Fuckwits, here’s another classic example of how I have to amuse myself in this fu#$*n place’. But I’m a consultant so that wouldn’t happen, or so at least I hope not, image is everything and I probably look like a quiet fellow, remember image ?

This blog might save my sanity yet, time will tell.

What’s planned for later you say, well I might have the last sandwich in the fridge before leaving, leftover from a ‘Business meeting’, one of many in a place like this. If it’s gone then that might mean going into the kitchen at home and making a bit of a mess again.

Might be a gig on, well there will defiantly be a gig on, I live in Fitzroy after all, and there’s always something on.

Started reading a book yesterday about Rory Gallagher called ‘Riding Shotgun’ and what a book. The best bit is it’s a book I would have bought, I ‘Requested’ my local library to buy it and guess what, they did. What a service. I started reading it at 8.20 pm last night and by 9am today was half way through. Great read.

Here he is below :

There’s a story about how they were all either still drunk or hung over in an airport in the US and one of the band members had sunglasses on.
He made a bit of a dash to the gents and before he could get there vomited all over a blind man’s guide dog, but it looked like one blind man vomiting on another blind man’s dog.
The blind man at a later stage must have thought to himself ‘I think Fido’s been rolling in something’

Me paraphrasing might not be so funny, more the reason to read the book.

They bought another book for me called ‘Last man standing’, it’s about hurling goalkeepers I’ve read the chapter on the Cork Goalkeeper Donal og, tough job and if you make a mistake, expect a lynch mob to. Donal og was saying 2 goal’s he conceded in particular aunt him on a daily basis and the relives those moments.
After all it is an armature sport, serious stuff.

Me: Talk to yea later !!!
Other me in my head: Ok so

My first blog

The story so far is, it's Tuesday afternoon. I've been meaning to start some sort of blog for a while to capture something that a photo cant.

Went to see a movie called Kenny last night, good laugh.

Moved into Fitzroy, nice place. Chilled out housemates, not a bad roof top garden either and above all good location.

Went to the Collingwood childrens farm Earth party on Sunday, met Ravi and Gerrard. Gerrard is half mad.... he is.

I suppose i'll be using this blog to capture some of the funny stories from here on in, started to do it when i went travelling last, but lost the momentum, hopefully the momentum will come back and i'll make it a regular thing.

So there, thats the story
